We are excited for this year’s summer and our team of lifeguards for this year. As lifeguards return and new lifeguards are hired, we will update the Beach Info webpage on our SBIA Website.

The Beach Staff will kick off the season on June 24th!  We look forward to a summer of fun activities, including swim lessons, aerobics classes, beach races, and the Horribles Parade.

  • Swim Lessons, June 30th thru August 21st: Swim lessons begin on Monday, June 30th, and are for SBIA members ONLY. Lessons are given Monday through Friday. You can find more information on swim class descriptions and register for lessons on the Swim Lessons webpage.
  • Beach Races, July 5th: An open invitation to all school-aged students in New Silver Beach to participate in the annual Beach races. Everyone is welcome, and prizes will be awarded! Meet at the Silver Beach Avenue beach entrance.  No sign-up is required.
  • Horribles Parade, July 4th: A long-time July 4th tradition in New Silver Beach is the

“Horribles” Parade. Meet at the corner of Arlington Street and Silver Beach Avenue at 10:00 am, dressed in your favorite costumes to start the parade!!  So much fun! You can sign-up by individual or group and let us know the category of your entry to be judged. Complete the 2025 Horribles  Parade  Entry  Form  to sign-up!

  • Adult Water Aerobics begins on July 8th-August 15th: If your fitness routine includes swimming, you can change your workout from the pool to an open-water swimming work out and get in a great swim workout without the walls of a pool. Open water aerobics is fun, different, and just as good for you as a swimming pool workout. Meet at the Silver Beach Avenue entrance on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 8:00 – 8:45am.  No Sign-up is required.

Join your neighbors and friends at these fun events for Adults.  We hope to have many of your favorites again this year and some new events too. Below are some of the planned highlights.   • Beach Clean-up, June 28th: Come down and show our beach some love with our annual kick-off to the season with a New Silver Beach Clean-up. The more members we have, the quicker we will have the beach ready for safe fun in the sun.  We will meet at 9:00 am at the beach at the Ocean View entrance.  Workers should bring their gloves.  The beach clean-up generally takes a few hours.  We will delegate clean-up crews for the beach and dunes, the beach entrances, the courts, and select areas outside the courts. We will also set up the Membership Table so you can pick up your 2025 MembershipCards. (Rain date: June 29th).  No sign-up is required.
  • Association Summer Kick-Off and Cocktail Party, June 28th: This year’s summer Welcome Party returns to our NSB Tennis Courts. Join the fun and meet with friends and neighbors to kick off the summer of 2025 with a bang!  The party starts at 7:00 pm and ends at about 10:00 pm. We plan to have a cash “wine and beer” bar, appetizers, and dessert platters provided by the Adult Activities & Events Committee.  No sign-up is required.
  • SBIA Senior Pickleball (55 and up) beginning June 22nd: It’s hard to believe that we are going into our 9th year of pickleball at New Silver Beach (the fastest-growing sport in the country!). We have two Senior Pickleball Clubs for members 55 and older: Monday and Fridays will be recreational group play and Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday will be competitive group play. To participate, you must be over 55, a NSB Member, and must know how to play the game. We play to the United States Pickleball Association (USPA) Rules. CLICK HERE  to review the USPA Rules.

Registration and daily sign-up are required.  You can REGISTER HERE  for Senior Pickleball. Please join the group that fits your level of play. We use the “Team Reach” app for daily sign-ups; you will receive instructions for Team Reach after completing the Senior Pickleball Registration Form.

  • NSB Gets Fit! beginning June 30th thru August 22nd: Our ever-popular bootcamp-style fitness program is back for the 10th year!  Our NSB fitness program meets two times a week on Monday and Friday only, except for the first week Monday 6/30 & Wednesday 7/2. No class on Friday, July 4th.  Times will be 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the NSB Tennis Courts (and sometimes on the beach!).  This is an adult boot camp led by professional trainers.  Three ways to sign-up … 1) Online: NSB  Gets  Fit! 2) Call: (508) 495-6500 and 3) Venmo: @Jana-Faiky. You can purchase a 10-class card or pay as you go. The card is discounted for our Association Members.  A 10-class card is $169, or you can pay $20 per class.  Boot camp begins this year on June 30th.
  • Court Open Play beginning July 2nd: Suppose you want to go down to the courts to play or have a pickup game with your family or friends. In that case, SBIA has supplied its members a “Members” deck box located on Court #1 (shed side) with pickleballs, pickleball net, paddles, tennis racquets, tennis balls, and basketball.  The sports equipment in the Member Box is for our members and their guests (we will replace no damaged or vandalized equipment).  You will receive the combination to the lock on the Member box on your CONFIRMATION EMAIL WHEN YOU COMPLETE YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. Court Open Play is Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 am until dark and every other day from 11:15 am until dark. No sign-up is required.
  • Cardio Boxing Class for TEENs and ADULTS – Ages 12 and older Katie Asack will be leading a complimentary class on Thursday from 8 – 8:45 am on July 10th and 24th Punch your way to a great workout. Designed for all fitness levels, this fun Cardio workout is for all fitness levels, and easy-to-follow moves make this a fun-filled workout!
  • NSB Pound Fit! For TEENS and ADULTS – Ages 12 and older – beginning on July 3rd:  Katie Asack will be leading a complimentary class Every other Thursday 8 am – 8:45 am – July 3rd and 17th Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly full-body, FUN workout! NSB’s own Katie Asack has taught various fitness classes for 15 years and has been certified in POUND® for eight years. She will provide everyone with lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising! We meet weekly at the tennis court. Please bring water and a yoga mat or towel. Drop-ins are WELCOME!
  • Illumination Night, July 26th: Light Up the Night for our Annual Illumination Night on July 26th. Show your NSB spirit and celebrate with our beach community as we continue the tradition of the home-decorating contest on Illumination Night.  Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated homes in New Silver Beach along with Ice Cream. Complete your 2025 Illumination “Light Up  the  Night” Home  Decorating  Entry  Form  to win a prize. This will be a family event, so bring the whole family to enjoy the festivities.
  • NSB Mid-Summer Adult Social, July 19th: SBIA will host an adult-only (over age 21) themed, fun social event on Saturday July 26th (rain date the following Saturday) at the NSB tennis courts. A cash bar (wine and beer) is also planned for the event. Final preparations are happening right now and will be shared with you as soon as they have been finalized. Please plan to join and share mid-summer stories with friends!
  • Adult (Over 21) Cornhole Tournament, August 8th: Join the FUN at the annual Adult Corn Hole Tournament on August 8th at 6:00 pm. See you at the NSB Tennis Courts! Maybe your duo will be the 2025 Corn Hole Champions!!  No sign-up is required.
  • End of the Summer Cookout, August 23: Join us for one last summer hurrah down at the NSB Tennis Courts at 6:00 pm! All your BBQ favorites! Volunteers are needed, you can sign-up on the SBIA  Activities  Volunteer Sign-up Form.

  • SBIA Sunday Night at the Movies beginning June 29th – August 17th: Each Sunday at Sunset, bring your blanket and pillow to the NSB Tennis Courts to watch a kid’s movie with your friends. This has been a tradition in NSB for many years!  Check the SBIA website calendar for this summer’s Movie Schedule.  NOTE: Sunset occurs at different times at NSB, anytime between 8:20 (June/July) and 7:45 (July/August), depending on when the sunset occurs.  No sign-up is required.
  • Family NSB Softball beginning July 7: Head over to Nye Park in North Falmouth to play softball. You and your family can participate in playing or bring a chair and cheer your neighbors on to victory! Games start at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings–No sign-up is required.
  • Kids’ Tennis Clinics TBD: We have reached out to other third parties and expect to have updated news soon to share with NSB membership. We do hope to bring this fun clinic back in some form. Stay tuned.”
  • Music, Movement, and Munchkins – For ages 0-6: SUNDAY, July 6th, at 9:30

a.m. Meet at the NSB playground and enjoy some toddler tunes, bubbles, Katie getting your kids moving and grooving, and yummy munchkins.

  • Kid’s Tie Dye Event – Saturday, July 12th at 10am. This has been a big event, and we will need MANY Volunteers! Get a souvenir NSB summer shirt and tie-dye it down at the courts. This is a first-come, first-served event. Feel free to bring your own white T-shirt just in case we run out.
  • Kid’s Bingo, Wednesdays at 4:00 pm: Come down to the tennis courts to play Bingo with your friends. Prizes will be given to every winner! The cost is $1 per Bingo card pack of 4; pay when you arrive. 3 Volunteers are needed to run each Bingo: set up, callers,

and clean up help needed. The Association will supply prizes and bingo supplies. Sign up with your whole family to run a Bingo night and join in the fun!  SBIA  Activities  Volunteer Sign-up  Form.

  • Kid’s Korner, June 27th, July 11th, July 18th, July 25th, August 1st: Kids Korner is for our curious and creative kids. Meet on the NSB Tennis Courts for science activities and arts and crafts on Fridays at 10:00 am. Join us for rock painting, tie dye, paper crafts, and more at the courts. Based on how many kids’ sign-up, we will order all ingredients for arts and crafts in advance.  Sign-up is required, complete the  Kids Korner  Registration Form to sign-up for this event, and four volunteers are needed for each class.  To volunteer, complete the SBIA  Activities  Volunteer  Sign-up  Form.
  • Kid’s Crabbing Contest, August 2nd: How many crabs can you catch in one hour?? Head out on August 10 at 9:00 am to catch as many crabs as possible in one hour. Crabs will be counted and photographed by each participant. Prizes will be awarded for the most crabs caught! Don’t forget to release the crabs back into the jetty once you’ve submitted your catch! This event starts and finishes at the Silver Beach Avenue Beach Entrance.
  • NSB’s Amazing Race, August 3rd: How well do you know New Silver Beach? Go on a hunt to locate pre-determined places around New Silver Beach. Each group entering must stay together and take pictures of each place found. There are 2-6 kids per group; 6-11-year-olds will hunt first from 3-4 pm, and 12-18-year-olds will hunt from 4-5 pm. The first group to successfully finish each category will receive a Somerset gift certificate. Everyone gets a treat upon completion of The Amazing Race. This event starts and ends at the tennis courts. 6-11-year-olds will hunt first from 3-4 pm, and 12- to 18-year-olds will hunt from 4-5 pm.
  • Kid’s Fishing Tournament, August 9th: Head out on your boat or head to the jetty for a fun day of fishing! The tide will determine the start time. Prizes for the biggest scup, sea bass, or bluefish!! A five-dollar ($5) entry fee will be due before you submit your photo! You must sign-up to participate. Bait is included when you sign-up.   • 3-on-3 Middle and High School Basketball Tournament, August 16th at 5:30 pm: Join us on the courts for a 3-on-3 middle school and high school basketball tournament. All teams will be co-ed and age-based.  CLICK  HERE  to enter your team to play. The winning team receives trophies and basketball GLORY!  To volunteer, complete the SBIA Activities Volunteer Sign-up  Form.
